Artist's Description
I grew up on a Montana cattle ranch and I always thought seeing the breath of the animals rise as the sun peaked over the tree tops was beautiful. That was my inspiration for 'Morning In the Highwoods'. It was also interesting to portray a cold feeling that also had a hint of warmth, as well. The viewer can feel the crisp air, yet still delight in the sunshine on their face and it's impending warmth.

Welcome to my online web gallery! I'm a life-long, primarily self-taught artist who has gone through many transformations during my artistic journey. What started out as early childhood drawings on scraps of paper, slowly became something more. In my early teens I picked up the first paint brush and found my 'holy grail' for artistic expression. Although, I occasionally dabble in photography and still find great joy in drawing, painting remains my favorite creative outlet. There's just something magical about watching a blank canvas transform into something rich and life-like!
