'Reflections' is my idea of how a beautiful bay horse would enjoy a lazy summer day. I can feel a slight breeze stir and hear insects buzzing about in the weeds as she munches her way to the waters edge for a drink of cool water. Due to the elongated shape of the canvas, I found it an interesting challenge to create the reflection of the mare in a way that complimented the over-all composition without drawing attention away from the her. "Reflections" is a very warm peaceful painting.
Welcome to my online web gallery! I'm a life-long, primarily self-taught artist who has gone through many transformations during my artistic journey. What started out as early childhood drawings on scraps of paper, slowly became something more. In my early teens I picked up the first paint brush and found my 'holy grail' for artistic expression.
