This painting was inspired by a hike I took in the Little Belt Mountains, near my home. I had been experiencing a bit of artist block and my goal that day was to find something that would spark a new painting. I drove aimlessly, with no particular destination in mind and eventually found myself walking up a mountain trail that led to a peaceful little waterfall. As if by magic, I had found what I was looking for. 'Serenity' isn't exactly the waterfall I saw that day, but the overall look and feel of the composition is very much a result of what I experienced that day.
Welcome to my online web gallery! I'm a life-long, primarily self-taught artist who has gone through many transformations during my artistic journey. What started out as early childhood drawings on scraps of paper, slowly became something more. In my early teens I picked up the first paint brush and found my 'holy grail' for artistic expression.
